Laramie visits the Yukon Territory!

Well, here it is! The latest episode of Laramie on the Lam is almost ready for download. I received the cover today. Like it? I think it's cool and I can't wait for you to read the fifth installment.

This one is called Laramie and the Mighty Yukon Rescue. Laramie, Prentiss, Maestro and the rest of the family are heading toward Alaska. But first, they must drive through the famous Yukon Territory in Canada. They're using the ALCAN Highway (short for Alaska-Canada) that was built many years ago during World War II and stretches from the United States through Canada and into Alaska.

Of course, the boys and Maestro run into trouble along the way. Find out just what that trouble is, whether or not they get out of the jam they find themselves in, and who shows up along the way.

Adventure awaits and the boys and Maestro want you to come along for the ride!

Fetch!

There's nothing like a good splash in the water to make a black lab happy and Maestro is no exception. Black labs love water!

Did you know that black labs are also known for their hunting ability? They love to bring things back to their owners, so many duck hunters take labs along on their hunting trips to retrieve ducks.

Although Maestro isn't a hunting dog, she still loves to bring things back to her owners! If you want to make her happy, just toss her a frisbee, tennis ball, or her special orange toy, and she'll run and fetch all day long!

Be sure to read about Laramie, his foster brother, Prentiss, best human friend, Jake, and best friend in all the world, Maestro, in my Laramie on the Lam series! Part #3, Laramie and the Great Yorktown Battle is ready for download now. Ask your mom or dad to download it to your e-reader, phone, or computer today! You won't be sorry and you'll make Maestro a very happy dog!

Laramie and the Great Yorktown Battle is here!

It's here! My long-awaited third installment of the Laramie on the Lam series, Laramie and the Great Yorktown Battle, is now available for download.

Continue the adventure as Laramie, his parents and little sister Cheyenne, his black Lab, Maestro, foster brother Prentiss, and best (human) friend Jake, explore Yorktown, Virginia. It was on the Yorktown Battlefield that the American forces won the battle that ended the Revolutionary War.

Join the boys and Maestro as they try to outwit two more men who have been chasing them all the way across the country. But what do they want? Are they still after the money they think Laramie still has or are they after something else entirely? Will anyone come to their rescue like their friend, Jeremiah, did at the Governor's Palace in Colonial Williamsburg?

Be sure to ask your parents to download Laramie and the Great Yorktown Battle to your e-reader, phone, or computer. It's only $.99 per download! Don't miss the adventure, mystery, fun, and history! Laramie's counting on you!

Laramie and the Great Yorktown Battle is on its way!

Can you believe it? It's almost time for the third installment of the Laramie on the Lam series to be published! This one is called Laramie and the Great Yorktown Battle. Be sure to ask your parents to download this one so you can read all about Laramie's adventures in Yorktown, Virginia, where the Americans' victory at the Battle of Yorktown guaranteed they would win the American Revolution.

Tiny visitor!

Maestro has a friend visiting her this week! Coco, a miniature chihuahua, is staying with us for a few days while her family visits some family members in Iowa.

Usually, Coco lives near Fairbanks, Alaska. She's a sweet little girl and weighs only about five pounds. She's little enough to put into my purse! Just to show you how small she is, I took a picture of her and Maestro together. Aren't they cute?

Maestro's not quite sure what to think of her, but I think they'll soon be best friends.
When you have a chance, ask your parents to be sure to download Maestro's latest adventure. It's called Laramie and the Land of Liberty, and it's all about the fun Laramie, Maestro, and Prentiss have in Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia. I promise you'll enjoy it! Tell your friends, too.

Another Laramie adventure is on the way!

Even superdogs like Maestro need a bath once in a while! And no, she doesn't have one bright green eye, but it sure looks that way, doesn't it?

Maestro's getting all cleaned up for her new adventure coming out on April 1, 2011! It's called Laramie and the Land of Liberty and it takes place in Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia. Laramie, Prentiss, and Maestro are chased by bad men who think the boys have the money from the bank robbery back in Wyoming. Learn all about colonial days, back when the Revolutionary War was just getting ready to start, and find out how (and if) the boys and Maestro manage to escape from the bad guys who have chased them all the way across the country!

It's not easy being a dog when you have two boys to protect and bad guys chasing you all over the place. Ask your parents to download Laramie and the Land of Liberty to find out how Maestro helps to save the day!

Best dog in the world!

How much do you know about black labs? Maestro (the real one who lives at home with us) and Maestro, Laramie's best pal, are both nine years old. In fact, they're the same dog! Black labs are known for being very good with kids, friendly, eager to please, and full of energy. They also love to eat! Maestro sounds like a vacuum cleaner when she sniffs something she thinks might be yummy. Even when she's taking a walk, you can hear her vacuuming the path in front of her. Sometimes she even sounds like a helicopter!

Black labs have their health problems, though. They are prone to hip problems and allergies. Maestro has had a hip replacement and is allergic to many things. With exercise and watching what she eats, though, she has a full and happy life. Maestro is the best dog I could ever imagine!

Honesty is always the best policy!

Did you know that the youngest bank robber on record in the United States was only 13 years old? Not exactly a good way to start the teenage years.

Of course, Laramie Wyoming had no idea he was helping out the men who were robbing the bank that afternoon. He was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. Even so, it got him in a lot of hot water! It just goes to show that kids can get into enough trouble without even trying--why make matters worse by deliberately doing something against the law?

Smart kids know that a life of crime is a life spent behind bars. Stealing is wrong. Period. It's not just stealing from stores that's wrong--stealing from your parents or brothers or sisters or neighbors or classmates is also wrong. Remember, you don't have to rob a bank to be guilty of stealing!

Maestro says, "Make me proud. Be honest."
